Guest guest
Hi there; In answer to your queston, double spacing is the space between lines. If you are using a word processor just look in help section and it will tell you how to do it. I use Wordperfect for a word processor and I have the tool bar exposed that has the line spacing option right in front of me, but if you don't just pull down the " format " option, find " line " and select " spacing " If you are using Word it is a simular process, drop down " format " , select " paragraph " , choose " indents and spacing " , and about 2/3 down on the right you will see line spacing, set that to " double " that's all there is to it. good luck Jerry A suggestion for Lynda > > > > > > > > > > Lynda, I have a suggestion for helping your mother. Yea! I was wondering about this myself..... " Shouldn't I be using Double Spacing? " And after changing it I went to SEVEN(!) pages! I have both Word and WordPerfect, Jerry, but use WP 95% of the time, just like it better. I tend to get wordy and love to write as well. I can write 10 or 20 page letters, no problem.. By the time I'm done, you do know my life's history however! <giggle> And it really is easy if you think about it and write it down as if you were talking to someone sitting right in front of you. Got into that habit when I corresponded with my Army boyfriend, now HD. And thanks Jerry for the suggestion about writing it out as if I'm explaining to my Mom too. I'm sure I will win her over. But I also have a friend, we've known each other since we were six, who already has expressed concern. Now she is someone who took pomondum (sp) when it was popular and I bet she won't even consider having herself checked for the heart problem it caused. So Maybe I should word it like I'm convincing her! And thank you to each and every one of you who offered suggestions and help in convincing my mother. You are a great bunch. Guest guest
Thanks Jerry, I must have sounded sooo stupid, I meant what spacing do we use, not what is spacing!!! <grin> LOL.. I was confused on how he wanted us to format the letters. There did not seem to be a reference in th manual to his preferences in formating, several people have e-mailed me and told me double space is fine... That's what I wrote mine in . I just did not want to send it double spaced and get it back because he wanted single spacing.
