Like .02 units of dilaudid every 3 hours could help her pain!! Yikes! I spoke to her tonight, and after suffering through that all night her surgeon finally showed up and got her all straightened out. I guess he had to make some heads roll before they would give her adequate pain meds. He was also ticked off because they hadn't even paged him when she was admitted, even though her nurse told her to " expect him any time " last night. When they've got the records right there, it's irritating to think that they wouldn't even look at them and see that she's tolerant of pain meds and would need a higher dosage to manage her pain. After her doctor showed up and got her straightened out she seems to be in much better spirits, and is hoping, perhaps, to go home tomorrow. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
