Guest guest
Hi guys, I went to ton this week to see Dr. Adam's. While at MUSC pharmacy I met a woman in line who was talking about having been on a feeding tube for 3 years. When I was outside waiting on my scripts to be filled I saw her and told her I was not trying to be nosy but I had overheard her talking about a feeding tube and asked if she had CP. She did! I knew it, she had that pained look like we can all to well recognize! Guys, this poor lady, has tried to kill herself several times. She needs support and prayers so much. She doesn't have access to the net herself but her daughter does. I told her about our group and wrote down the website and my name and phone number. Her name is . She really was in bad shape. She didn't even know that she can live without her pancreas. I was shocked the docs at MUSC had not referred her to Indiana. Of course, I don't know the whole story, but I could see the pain and helplessness in this woman's eyes. She has been off of the feeding tube for 2 months and has gained 5 pounds. I am so hoping she will find her way here. Please offer up a prayer for this woman! This is why we need support groups guys! All I could do was cry after I saw her and I my dad cried with me after we talked to her. I told my dad but by the grace of God go I. I am praying I don't have to experience what she has had to. I hope to hear from her or see her on here. Thanks guys and thank you all for your support and knowledge. I take it for granted so many times but that was an eye opener for me! So I want to let you all know that I appreciate you all so much for teaching me all you have!
