Guest guest
I was totally floored how little this lady knew that I spoke with on the phone. I also told the doctor how I felt about it. She has had multiple ERCPS and surgeries for the last 4-5 years and nobody took the time to talk with her. We on this board are very proactive in our health care needs but not all people are like that. Yes, Angie, I know there are lots of people out there just like us who feel they are completely alone. That just breaks my heart. I have sat there in 's waiting room looking around and can spot a cp pt, there are many. I have always wanted to go over and talk with them but feared it would be offending. Besides I was always fairly ill while there myself. In all honesty its not really the doctors fault. Its the nurses job to educate patients. You see the doctor treats the illness or injury a pt has. The nurse by definetion treats the patients response to said injury or illness. His only fault is in not hiring or encouraging his nursing staff to be nurse educators. I wish he would hire a pancreatic nurse educator I would be the first one to apply! We are all very fortunate to have found one and other but I truly feel that we are the minority and that there are many many people out there suffering alone in silent desperation wishing somebody some where understood.
