Guest guest
i just recieved a call from my g.i.'s office and due to the death of his father,he now can't see me till aug.10.no other dr. in the group can see me either because they are ALL backed up till oct.luckily i was worked in as " urgent " ,or i would'nt have gotten the aug. appt.now i am down to my last 8 hydrocodone, which i'm sure will be gone by then .may be my pcp will have mercy on me and give me more,if needed.this is already getting frustrating, trying to get help and i'm newly diagnosed i can only imagine the frustration of you all that have been trying for years.i understand this can't be helped, but i was actually looking forward to being seen by a specialist and getting some answers,ME,the one who has a fear of drs!!i would stiil appreciate some advice on questions to ask now that i have more time to think about it,i'm sure i'll come up with more myself.PAIN-FREE days to all.thanks for listening.CINDY
Guest guest
Hi Cindy, I hope for you the appt. is in early Aug. That might make it a llittle easier. Be a little careful in asking for more hydrocodn, a " hinky " doctor needs to be handled by the patient verry carefully. Stay cool, stay unstressed, keep your best diet, stay hydrated, be very self aware. And don't be late for your appointment, and verify the time and date well before it's scheduled as there always is the chance for an " office " screw-up. Nothing has room to be left for chance for you. While I don't know the strength of your current script, if it's a 5 than you might do well to ask for 7.5's on the basis that many episodes take more than one tab. If you get it then you can use the new script to build a little " stash " for the next time. Remember that hydrocodn can be split without problems but Oxy can't be split without undesired effects (for some). Best wishes, Poncho - GA
Guest guest
Cindy, I am so sorry to hear about your appt. being cancelled. Is this your first visit with him?
