Re Fentanyl patch to Anyse

Yes, regarding the patch ....there was a new alert out on July 22nd,

2005, by the FDA re warnings on all patches including the one I was

on

the 75 & 100's. I could not stay awake, I was on the 3 week &

everyday

it was this unbearable urge to sleep, I would read one page & fall

asleep, could not watch tv, and it was leaking out the sides, on

Sunday, I saw it, that's when I was online looking up symptons & saw

the alerts. They may be okay for small doses, but coma is exactly

how

I felt, just like a walking zombie. Tomorrow I start back on the

Oxycotin. I have many allergic reactions to different drugs, but

even

if I went to a lower dose, my pain would not probably not be

covered.

I also had blurred vision. It's too bad cause they were only $12.00

for months supply of 100's, where as the Oxy 40's will cost me about

150 per month. I did not mean to give the lawyers's number, but I

was

so out of it with great nausea & trouble breathing & still feel

drugged today, so it did release a larger dose cause when I took it

off

there was no gel left on it. Hope I did not scare anyone, but it

sure

scared me. Lots of love & feeling better today,

Wow! I just happened to log in to try and get back into the swing

of things after a week long flare (I suspect brought on by the

diuretic that my PCP swears up and down won't cause a flare!!) and

read this!! OMG!! This could be me!! I have been having this

happen for a loooonnngggg time but just chalked it up to the usual

sleepiness that I get when about to go into a flare. Where can I

read more on this? Where did you hear about this ?

Sorry for just jumping in like this w/o so much as a " how do you

do? " (LOL!!) but I just had to find out about this.

Also, can you all please tell me whether or not I should be taking

diuretics at all? Or is there one that's ok to take when you have

cp/SOD? One that's better than others? I have VERY severe swelling

in my feet and ankles and now lower calves not to mention I look

like I'm about five months pregnant!! It's gotten to the point

where I think I'm going to have to give up trying to wear jeans or

pants with a fly (Even if they are stretch jeans).....my belly is

just huge with swelling!! Any suggestions on this?

P.S. I'm on the the 25 mcg and 100 mcg Fentanyl patch changing

every 48 hrs (and boy do I hate having to try and scrub that black

stuff off that forms after the patch has been on for the 48 hrs!!
