Guest guest
Hey Kris, Don't the instructions on that Oxy say to not break or crush that tablet? Best wishes, Ponco - GA
Guest guest
Thanks for those words of advice. I will definitely bring it up to Dr. Lehman when I see him next time. Last Saturday I took 60mg of Oxycotin (one and a half tablets - split in half), and also took 100mg of Demerol. It still took 1 1/2 hours to relieve the pain. I didn't feel like I was overly medicated. I could still walk and talk (surprisingly). I knew that you would be able to shed alittle light on this subject, being a nurse. But, doesn't the oxycodone come in a tablet that DOESN " T have any tylenol in it?? Please let me know, I am waiting on a call back from my family doc's office because I called his nurse and left a message to tell her that I won't be able to swallow those large pills if I get another SOD attack. Thanks again Kris in TN
Guest guest
Kris: My doctor used to have me on Percocet for break thru pain and actually still does but he knows I don't take it and avoid it like the plague because it actually causes the nausea to worsen considerably for me. I just thought I'd mention that my pain mgmt doc has me on 5 mgs of Methadone every six hrs whether I'm in pain or not along with the 25/100 mcg patches. The Methadone has REALLY Helped me considerably and it is a teeny teeny pill so it's easy to take when you can't or don't want to have to swallow a large pill. Just thought I'd throw it out there...it's been a real life saver for me and really helps kill that nasty pain usually w/in the hour. Hope his helps some...
