Guest guest
Hi Kris, I suggest a couple of things. One, maybe either you or he misunderstood. And if so then so be it, there was no harm done. Maybe he knew that breaking and taking the Oxy would best give pain relief because it was a " good " breakthru medication. Those who abuse Oxy do crush in order to get a " rush " of the codiene. The med is made for whole use and to get a quick release of an amount of the analygesic it's likely close to injection. I have no problems with your action as long as you have no problems. I just wanted you to be aware of the possibilities and you are the best judge of your actions. One thing for sure, I would never tell a medical professional, even take a chance of someone else telling a medical professional that I ever delibertly broke and took Oxy. That's just too much of a " red flag " for them to handle. Keep on truckin and best wishes, Poncho - GA
Guest guest
Yes, the instructions say NOT to crush or chew the pills. But when I first saw Dr. Lehman in 3-04, I got home and was hurting real bad and was on my way to the ER. He happened to call me on my cell phone while I was being driven to the hospital. He told me to turn around and go home and take the Oxycotin. I told him that I already took it in the morning and he said to take another half-tablet (break it in half). I told him that the bottle says to NOT crush or chew, but he said it would just be immediate release instead of continuing release. Who knows, maybe I misunderstood him because I was in so much pain at the time. I plan to clear all this up with him when I see him on the 11th of Aug. Thanks Kris in TN
