Guest guest
Thanks for the info. I think you said before that you have SOD too?. I don't normally have any trouble swallowing large pills, it's just impossible during a SOD attack. I mean, I can barely breathe air, let alone swallow anything large. I do manage to get a small tablet into me though. It makes the pain worsen but what can I do. Thanks anyway Kris in TN
Guest guest
Hi Kris: Yes, I have SOD or at least it's " suspected " by Dr. Lehman and maybe one other doctor I've seen. I'm still searching for a good gastro doc or better yet, a pancreatic specialist in my area. I have one appointment but it's not until late August with a doctor in Boston. Sorry my suggestion wasn't helpful....I'm so sorry that you have trouble breathing during an attack. Is it an ongoing problem or does it just happen at the onset? I know with me I start to hyperventilate at the onset of a bad attack now....this is something new for me but I know it's just because of fear basically because I know what I'm " in for " so to speak. I also have had a panic disorder for about 15 yrs now so now that the " added " fear of having a bad attack is added into the " mix " it's not surprising to me that I start tohyperventilate. I can usually take one of my Ativans (I'm on 2 mgs per day and the doc gives me an " extra " five to have in case of an exacerbation of symptoms - so I am " allowed " to take extra at these times) and that will get rid of the hyperventilation problem. Hope youre feeling well today
