Oxycodone with tylenol is Percocet (Percodan is oxycodone with

aspirin).

I think you can get hydrocodone without the tylenol but it is not a

common thing - I can look that up. Isn't hydrocodone Vicodan? If

so, there is a version with aspirin too. Maybe that will be a

smaller pill.

Oxycodone without tylenol, at least the ones I take, are in capsule

form. If needed, you can open the capsule and sprinkle it on

food or in a small amount of water to dissolve or to swallow

down. Or you can do what I do when I need to get it into my

system faster - I let the capsule dissolve in my mouth. Tastes

totally foul, but at times it is worth it.

I think it is codeine that you cannot get without tylenol in it (?).

As far as breaking up the oxycontin - it is not dangerous per se,

as far as inducing drug " addiction " , it is just that when you crush

it up you get the whole 24 hour dose released at once so you

have the potential for a big time overdose. If you are taking a

40mg oxycontin and you crush it up you end up getting the whole

40 mg in your system in 45 minutes to an hour - a huge spike,

as opposed to the time release when you get the 40mg released

over 24 hours (or 12 hours if you take two a day). That is just

1.6mg per hour (or 3.2 if you take it every 12 hours). So you can

see how dangerous it is on the overdose aspect: 1.6mg in your

system as opposed to 40mg (although it takes about 1 to 2

hours to peak so it probably isn't the full 40 at one time but pretty

darn close I would think). My understanding is that is how the

druggies get around the time release - by crushing it up, they can

get the whole dosage at once and get a bigger high and thus the

need for more, etc.

- hope I am not repeating what someone else wrote or

what you already know. I just wanted an excuse to say hi and

ask how you are....I have been out of touch for the last three - four

weeks because of vacation and work, etc and have no idea how

your recovery is going.......care to fill me in? I hope all is going

well and no more unexpected complications. We really don't

want them to name a surgical suite after you............

I get oxycodone by itself without tylenol or anything else and it's a

really tiny tablet (5mgs). So you can get it in tablet form.
