, I have been using diuretics (Lasix when swelling is severe,

Duragesic when it is mild/moderate) for more years than I can

remember. They were prescribed by the doc who originally dx'd

my pancreatitis. I began to get the swelling in my feet, ankles

and legs when I'd been on my feet a lot, or traveling by plane,

or just the old time of the month! It would get so bad I could

barely walk to the bathroom and back. I had two sets of shoes,.

one for my " fat feet " and one set for when they were thin again!

I don't believe the diuretics exacerbate pancreatitis, and if your

swelling is that bad, the underlying cause may be serious, and

you need to take the diuretics. , in Indy
