Guest guest
Kris, Hey, I had the sphincteroplasty done and while he was in there he also opened up the bile duct. It had damage also. In my report from the doc it says that he did a standard biliary sphincterectomy, as well as pancreatic sphincterotomy. He filleted the duct and performed the sphincteroplasty. He opened the bile duct and the septum between the bile and pancreatic duct. I copied all that down from the transcripts he gave me to take to the pain man. doc. In the report it also states that he may not relieve my abdominal pain and recurrent pancreatitis and sod attacks. Which he told me before he did surgery. It has been almost 7 weeks. So I am hoping, but when I went last week to see him he said he wasn't sure it was going to work. It hasn't worked to well so far, except for with the vomiting. I was vomiting about every other day and I have only had to vomiting episodes since surgery. I am digesting my food much better and the enzymes seem to be working better. So there is a plus side to it. But I have at least 2 violent attacks a week where the pain shoots to that 10 level really quick and stays there for a few hours. I guess that is due to the sod. I am not sure. All I know is it hurts like the dickens! I probably gave you way more info than you wanted to know! LOL! I hope you are having a good day! I have had a really good one for today and yesterday. Who knows what tomorrow may bring! But we have to take it when we can! Take care girl!
