Guest guest
Hi to all and hope you are feeling well. Well I have one for ya.Kristy my daughter that just had a tp/ICT (which is doing great) she also has a cardiac pacemaker she got that in 2003 when she was 18 , well things were going good with her heart since the pacemaker and when she had her panc surgery they said to have her pacemaker checked out to see if everything was working like it is supposed to.So we did and her heart dr. said that she needed an adjustment and made an appointment well out of the blue we recieved a letter saying that she would no longer be recieving care with her dr. or the heart association that he was working for. So I called KNOWING that there was some kind of mistake because her dr. would never drop her like that. I thought that it was something to do with insurance or something like that. I called the main heart hospital where everything goes through and they said they were puzzled too that the dr. is the one who said to drop her.So I called the dr.'s cell phone later that evening (thats how good of a dr. he was he gave us his cell phone number and said if we needed anything at all to call ,and we called several times with medical questions and he would also call Kristy and see how she was doing and also came to the hospital where she was at with the pancreatitis , even tho he did not work at that hospital. ) Well when I called him he did not answer so Kristy's fiance called him and left a message telling him there must be some kind of mistake. He returned his call and told him that Kristy needed to find her another heart dr. because his WIFE said she didn't want him to see Kristy anymore because she (his wife) was too insecure! Can you believe that?? Now we are searching for another heart dr. and they all ask why did you have to find another heart dr. ? So I tell them the truth .I tell them what he said. Well they imediately back off and tell me they will call me back with an appointment and they never do. I have called 3 different ones and they are all in different areas of the state . Kristy always had someone with her at all of her appointments either me or her dad or her fiance or sister. The dr. never was out of line and Kristy thought of him more as a father figure and that was it!He is 45 years old. She is 20. What is going on !!I have to find her a heart dr. somewhere because she needs this adjustment and she needs a check up every now and then. I don't know if this is the only young lady he has had to treat or if there was a problem with someone else .But kristy didn't ask for this . She is a pretty young lady that wouldn't disrespect anyone. The dr. told us numerous times that he considered us as his friends and he lives 2 hours away and he would come down to see his patients in this areas once a week. But Kristy only seen him about once every six months unless there was a problem. Can anyone suggest what I should do to get across these other heart dr.s that she ONLY wants a heart dr. ! well sorry this is so long . Thanks for reading. deedee
Guest guest
Dee Dee, That sounds fishy to me. It sounds like he has some personal problems and doesn't want anyone to know what it is. I cannot understand why in the world a doc would do that. Maybe he was having an affair and got caught and maybe is facing a lawsuit and he doesn't want that known and is staying away from young female patients. I would report his actions to the hospital he works at and the office and also to the AMA. It makes no sense for him to do that to your daughter. Any doctor that has a nurse always has her with him when he goes in with a female patient. Just to protect himself. I am so sorry you are having to face this and I hope you can find someone to treat her. Good heart docs are hard to find! My prayers are with you!
