Hi Sheila,

I am still working. albeit at a job that I can control what I do when

to a certain extent, so I cannot give personal assurances that

there is life without a job.

But I do know many people who have a life after they had to leave

a job due to illness. And they survive and even thrive.

I am friends with an electrical contractor who floats around the

hospital where I work and I have the utmost respect for him and

what he does. I cannot imagine how you go on with the physical

exertion nor how you can concentrate when you are in pain or

needing medications.

I hope that you can use some paid time off until you arrange to

see your doctor. Hopefully between your doctor and your

company you can all agree that short term disability may be the

way to go until you figure out the long term plan for your

employment or disability retirement.

Laurie
