Guest guest
HI Sandy Ihope your feeling better today. Do you have a case worker through your insurance company? If you dont, then give them a call and ask about it. The reason why I say that is because if a person has a condition and suitable physicians are not in their current network the pt can request a group or team that is out of network. A case manager can facilitate that much easier then a pt. Case managers are often time nurses and are far more understand then pencil pushers. I was told by my insurance co that I would not be allowed to go to Cincy for the surgery, just a few weeks before I was scheduled. My doctor here called them, they assigned me a case worker and within 2 days the entire surgery was approved and that was a very very expensive surgery and lengthy hospital stay. I paid more for my daughters used car then I what have to pay to that hospital, and that aint much. Give it a shot, it certainly cant hurt to check it out.
