Guest guest
Zoie- I take Zofran that dissolves under my tongue, in fact, I just switched to those about a month ago...they don't help with the pain any, but they seem to help with the nausea sometimes so that I can suck on an Actiq sucker for the pain. Actiq suckers do okay when I know I can't even keep water down. The nausea and vomiting are a result of the horrible pain, when both are present (and hit me like a ton of bricks all at once) I am beyond miserable. If I am feeling like that for very long (like 15 minutes or more) and Zofran can take the nausea down a couple of steps, it is a relief (and worth its weight in gold!) There are also Zofran shots to give IM (took those to Mexico)One other thing I like about Zofran...doesn't make me loopy or dizzy or sleepy like Phenergan or Compazine does. I don't do the fentyl patches...but there are people on the board wear a patch they change every couple of days...that may be an option for you. Hugs, Suzi B.
