Sublingual pain meds....??

First off, let me say that I am currently not on any pain medication

for the CP or SOD. I have struggled with the fact that I will

eventually have to put aside my stubborness and get my life back by

using pain meds.

I know that a lot of you are seeing pain management specialists and

I just wondered if there is a pain medication that can be taken

sublingually?? As everyone knows already, SOD and CP pain can hit

like a freight train. In just a matter of seconds you go from

feeling OK to writhing in pain in the floor....... or at least I

do. The nausea and vomiting on top of all the pain is just too much

to handle. I don't think that I could even swallow a pill at that

point. So, I am just wondering if someone knows about pain meds

that can be taken under the tongue and fast acting?? Or do they

even have such a thing??

I have my first appointment with a pain management doctor coming up

and I want to explore all possible options.

Thanks for any help!!

Zoie
