Guest guest
I had this weird thing happen a couple of weeks ago and was wondering if any body else had this kind of experience. I was just sitting in bed watchin a movie and all of the sudden I had this extreme intestinal spasm. It started from right below by sternum and traversed my entire belly all the way to my rectum. Yup all the way. It hurt like the devil and lasted about 30 minutes. I couldn't move, all I could do is lay flat until it subsided. It has left me rather sore ever since. Especially after I eat. I have also had more nausea of late and have started to take reglan and zofran again. anybody have any thoughts on this? I hope everybody is having a wonderful morning and are feeling as well as possible. Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi Chrissy: I haven't had it happen in exactly that way but I have had intestinal/abdominal spasm when straining on the er, toilet. Mine feels like a charley horse right under mid sternum area. Hurts like the dickens and then it just goes away. I've always just assumed it was the " straining " and sort of blew it off or should I say chalked it up to just one more ghastly thing we have to experience with this illness. The thing that's freaking me about your case though (and forgive me if my memory is NOT serving me correctly) is that you had a TP/ICT didn't you? Why would you still be getting nausea and pain, etc.? If that IS the case (TP/ICT) then I'm just freaked out over the fact that the body somehow lived with the illness for so many years and is sort of just " used to it. " Sort of like the phantom limb thing that happens to people that have amputation?? Hope you get to feeling better soon..you've been thru so much. Enough already!!
