Guest guest
Becoming a CDE is just something I am thinking about. I dont even know if it is doable. I requested all the info last week and it should be in the mail soon. We'll see. I kind of figured would have wanted to see you in clinic before writing any more pain meds. He is very thorough and I am sure he would want to check you out to make sure you are ok. I will be seeing him on Wed and am hoping it will be my last visit with him. I have had a few little set backs but its still is getting better. I am so sorry that you have had such a bad go. I was really hoping that hings would improve for you after the surgery. I was surprised that the GI would say that you are having a Sphincter of Oddi spasm when I dont think you really have one any longer, techincally maybe but not functioning. YOu did have the plasty on that sphincter didn't you. Unless of course I am completely mistaken as to what occurs during a sphincteroplasty, which could very likely be the case. Hope you feel better soon and the pain doc will take good care of you. Please let me know how it goes on Thursday. Warmly, christine
Guest guest
, Thanks, I did have the plasty done and I was surprised that he said that too. He doesn't know his behind from a hole in the ground though, if you know what I mean. I really would love to have a local GI who knows more about the pancreas. I am way over his head now and he really doesn't know what to do with me. I have another question, is up to 12 oxycodone a day too many? Not with the tylenol but the plain 5 mg. kind. Some days I have to take that many and when I told that on Monday and told her I was out of my pain meds because I had several attacks and had to take 3 oxy's every 4 hours. She freaked. I really didn't think that was too many? I don't know, am I wrong? I am going to see Dr. Adam's tomorrow at 10:45. My hubby talked me into going and he is going with me. He and I came to the conclusion that if I need to go on the oxycotin if Dr. Adam's prescribes it first then she will just continue what he is doing, we will see! I think I need to go on the oxycontin with the oxycodone for breakthrough so I don't have to take so many oxycodone. Some days I may only need 5 and some days I may need 12 but I try not to exceed 12 in a day. 2 and then 1 for breakthrough every 4 hours is how Dr. Adam's told me to do it when I have bad days. What is your opinion on that? You know alot more about this stuff than I do. I mean the oxycodone's are great they just don't last long enough and the pain is back in 4 hours. So what is a girl to do? Thanks, Angie " The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything that comes along their way.
