Guest guest
I am saying that the lap procedure to remove my gallbladder was not without complications and I think that solely caused my SOD. In turn, the SOD was not diagnosed until almost 7 years after my surgery (even though the pain started immediately in the recovery room) and the SOD damaged my pancreas. Call it idiopathic pancreatitis or whatever, I blame all of this on my surgeon's lack of experience (or whatever) and I feel that if I had the " big cut " instead of the lap procedure I would not be dealing with all of this now. Guest guest
When are you scheduled to do the gallbladder surgery?? I certainly hope that everything goes well for you. I do understand your concern being that several people have said that the gallbladder removal is the reason for their pancreas problems now. Everything is so darn close in the area of the gallbladder, pancreas and liver. I hope that you have a good surgeon and I am sure he/she is already aware of your pancreatitis now. I guess if I were in your shoes I would be concerned about having an acute attack of pancreatitis more so than further damage. Please keep us posted as I will be wanting to keep up with how you are doing. Zoie
Guest guest
Angie, You are so sweet. Actually this last week since Monday I have been feeling better. I stopped the pain med & am only taking x-tra strenght tylenol or motrin. I also went on a healthier diet than I had been doing. Eating much less sugary snacks & more fruits & vegis. It is making a big difference in how I feel. I am working too much lately & I think it is getting to me. I went back in March after being off for a year & it was supposed to be part time but you know how that goes. Some times when I get overly exhausted I get sensitive & emotional. I usually stay pretty up beat & grateful though. Thank you so much for caring. How are you doing? How is your Dad? Prayers, K. NOTOFARMS2@... wrote: I am so glad you aren't going anywhere! You have been great to me. What is going on? I didn't get to check my email when my dad was in the hospital and I had a bunch of my posts bounce. So I missed alot. Are you having panc problems right now? You were doing so good! I hope it is getting better!
