Guest guest
While doing research in India I had a chance to see the impacts of excessive consumption of fluoride in groundwater due to natural deposits. It creates gruesome bone and teeth abnormalities. Browning of teeth is one of the first signs of excessive concentrations, which resulted in the early stages of fluoridation here in the US. However, the benefits of low doses of fluoride are well documented and public health officials have a considerable degree of accumumulated experience in establishing correct concentration levels. If anyone knows of contemporary cases (past 20 years) to the contrary please let us know. Lighthall, Ph.D.Research DirectorRelational Culture Institute3485 W. Guest guest
Community water fluoridation is one of the greatest public health initiatives of all time. Dental decay has been dramatically reduced in this country as a result of it. Currently, 80% of dental decay is in 20% of the population, disproportionately affecting vulnerable groups such as MSFW. I can't believe anyone in the year 2005 would vote no concerning fluoridation. It has been studied and re-studied and proven to be completely safe and very effective. Refer to Oral Health in America: A Report of the Surgeon General published in 2000. I have numerous other resources as well. Sherri M.
