Guest guest
DeeDee, Since I've been on vacation for the past week, I'm just now reading your message about the problems you've had locating a new doctor for Kristy. That this type of sudden brush off by her older doctor had to happen at all is just horrible. It's a shame that his wife is so insecure that she feels threatened by her husband's young, attractive patient, and it's just so unfair for Kristy. I don't know what luck you've had, if any, in locating a replacement doctor, but thought I'd suggest that you contact the Oklahoma State Medical Association and ask them if they can provide you with the names of cardiologists who could treat Kristy. I would think that the state medical board would have a list of cardiologists who would be suitable. If they ask why you're looking for a new physician, you might just refrain from explaining the whole problem in relation to Kristy with a substitute explanation that her original doctor had to decrease his patient load due to some of his own personal family problems. That way you're placing the blame where it belongs.....with the doctor's personal life, other than highlighting any problems in relation to Kristy. Hopefully, you will find a good replacement and this problem will be soon resolved. I do believe that sometimes bad things happen for a good reason, and it may just be that because of this doctor's wife's insecurities, there may have been more problems with him in the future that you wouldn't want to have Kristy exposed to. I hope it works out for her, and that you can find her someone special. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Rep. SouthEastern Regional Rep.
