PLEASE If any of you have had this problem when going to the ER and

them saying you dont have a pancreas attack, post it again.

I am having quite a problem going thru all the posts and trying to

find messages pertaining to this.

needs me to print it out for her. She wants to make sure the Dr

knows that it happens to others.

Thanks,

Jean

Jean I have had MRCP's, numerous ERCP's, had a feeding tube placed in

my belly, a transduodenal sphincteroplasty, a Beger Procedure (an organ

sparing whipple) and a total panreatectomy with auto islet transplant

and never, not once, ever have my anylase and lipase been elevated.

I was told by the panreatolgist at MUSC. Dr. Hawes, an associate of

Dr. Cotton, that my pancreas was damaged to the point that I no

longer make those enzymes at all, or to the degree that they would not

be evident in blood work.

I hope this helps and please know that you and your family are in

my thoughts and prayers. I hope your husband, and yourself, are

adjusting well to his coming home. I know it can be a stressful time.

If ever wants to talk with me I would be happy to talk with her.

Warmly,
