Guest guest
Jean I have had MRCP's, numerous ERCP's, had a feeding tube placed in my belly, a transduodenal sphincteroplasty, a Beger Procedure (an organ sparing whipple) and a total panreatectomy with auto islet transplant and never, not once, ever have my anylase and lipase been elevated. I was told by the panreatolgist at MUSC. Dr. Hawes, an associate of Dr. Cotton, that my pancreas was damaged to the point that I no longer make those enzymes at all, or to the degree that they would not be evident in blood work. I hope this helps and please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope your husband, and yourself, are adjusting well to his coming home. I know it can be a stressful time. If ever wants to talk with me I would be happy to talk with her. Warmly,
