Guest guest
Zoie: I'll second you on this one!! I had a lap chole in Feb 2004 and I haven't been the same since. I had a period of maybe a week or so where I thought that the pain I was having was from the body healing itself (of course this is what the doc said when I called to explain that I was still having pain) But I can honestly say that if it hadn't been for the lap chole and more particularly the surgeon that performed it I wouldn't be living this nightmare of a life right now. I later found out that the surgeon that did my lap chole was/is being sued by another patient that practically bled to death on the operating table under his knife!! Surgery there wasn't a lap chole and I'm actually not sure what it was although I could find out because the info came from my lawyer that is handling my disability, etc. Called him " The Butcher from Brazil " and it's funny too because my husband is convinced unequivocably that if I had had a better surgeon that this may not have happened. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in feeling that the lap chole was the cause of this illness for you because I feel exactly the same way. I mean both my Dad and my paternal grandmother had GB surgery but back in the 60's and of course back then lap surgery just wasn't available yet, HOWEVER, neither one of them ever had pancreas problems afterwards...
