Guest guest
ughhhh gee Mark, can ya just not see the reason why Heidi would not open your emails???? You flyboys, I swear NO common sense what-so-ever!!! Heidi, Glad you are doing ok. I dog the AF a lot and for many reason, but we all have our place. I could no more fly a plane then he could do what I did. The rivalies go way back and for many reasons. There were times I loved the AF, they provided one of my best friends with much needed air support....even if some where dropped in the wrong zone, the mission was still successful and a lot of our soldiers made it out alive. There is a lot I would tell you privately, just not on a board. It pains me greatly to say this, but every branch does have their place and I am thankful we have them and that we have people willing to serve. My significant other is former Navy. I live near a Naval Air Station. I have been known to break ranks a few times, but only with a Marine and Navy NEVER a flyboy! LOL I used to tell my mom I would never date a guy knowing I was more of a man then he was! lololololololool it was just a running joke we had because I was petite and really muscular. I was invited for a swim once and when the guy saw me in my suit, he didn't want to date me because he said he didn't date girls who could kick his rear! LOLOLOL...ahhh! the good ole days. Needless to say , I didn't date much when I was in, if I did, I dated the Navy guys down the road. When my daughter was thinking of going, I actually told her, go in the AF, I don't want you to have work as hard as I did. you know, I blow a lot of hot air, but I know, Iraq is hard, no matter what, deployments are hard. I remember one time, I was 22 and I told my mom how old I felt and she said, how old? I said 35! LOL I am 36 now and I look back at those days and yep, I felt older then than I do now. Yep, I still frat with my running buddies. Some have died, some I lost contact with. Most are in Iraq or on their way back there now When the military is who you are, I find that I relate more to people who have sereved or are currently serving, You just see things differently, you know? I live in Ft Worth, Texas. I had AP when I was in the Army. My CP is caused from 2 pancreases, weird duct work and SOD. I just started to get really sick in June of 04. I had my gallbladder out in Oct 04. I went down hill fast. Even when I had AP in the Army, you just suck it up. I got it once on the track, I 'll never forget, my 1sg was in my face screaming at me, I was doubled over, he thought it was a cramp. I said no, I am really sick, he didn't belive me. A few days later I went to sick call, and you know, was given motrin and told I was a soldier in the US Army....blah blah blah Sometimes I would go across the street to MacGuire's hospital and get healthcare there. For a while I ran ammo between Tinker and Ft Sill, I always was treated at Tinker. I also have gastroparisis, so digesting my food was always a huge issue for me. The good thing was when we were in the field or on rats, it was all good because I was never really hungry, it took 3 days to empty my stomach back then, I am doing better now. I have some good meds I take for that now. I am working on getting things together for the tp/ict. I took this week off work to " rest " and run all over town getting medical records and labs! I am really looking forward to getting back to work! Oh yeah, I had a volonoscopy too! LOL I almost forgot! There was some abnormalities there but I have had part of it removed and lots of surg there, so we think the abnormality is normal for me, pathology came back clean, so no worries. Doc would like to see me on a long last low dose insulin to hel preserve my cells.BS has been hitting 230 lately and I am on a clear liquid diet so that is weird to me. My cholostrol is down from 380 to 229, that everything is going really well. I just need to get to where I can eat. I am tons better than what I was, I have a long way to go. I think I am about 1/2 there....and you think you talk a lot! LOL guess you caught me at the right time! Take care Heidi!
