Karyn,

What I should have said was that, " OxyIR was not effective as a break

through med, when taken in conjunction with Oxycontin. " Thanks for

catching that. I took it at the same time that I was taking

Oxycontin, and didn't find it as effective as when I used a different

long acting med as a baseline med. It worked better with the

Duragesic patches than with Oxycontin. I have read that if one uses

one type of analgesic for their long acting medication, it's better to

use a different type for their BT, and this I found to be true.

The type of oxycodone that I'm using now is called Roxicodone. That

and the RoxyIR, that you already mentioned, are the only ones I know.
