Guest guest
A few days after i got your e-mail about your seizure I woke up with a bs of 44. My body didn't wake me up with any symptoms i woke up at 8 to check my sugar ---------------------------------------------- Wow that is way too low. I'm glad you called the nurse in MN. That just doesn't seem right that the doc would take that long for an appt. Maybe you should give thema call and explain what is going on with the hypos. You were referring to an endocrinlogist wern't you? I'm surprised you didn't feel weird with a blood sugar that low. I can usually feel it. Tonight I felt that funny feeling and checked it and it was 62. I hope to never get to the point when I can recognize the symptoms of a low BS. You didn't feel shakey or flushed or anything? Be sure to chekc those sugars frequesntly. I had my pcp write for BS's to be tested 10x a day that way I will always have enough supplies. I dont test that often at all. Most every 3 hours or so while awake or running hither and yon. I also stopped taking any insulin if I plan to go out. I have noticed that I will drop rapidly with strenuos excercise. But it does sound like those islets have started to kick in. Let me ask you something tho. I know how great it is to be able to eat whatever you want again. I think I have gone a little overboard at first. I always try to take the creon but sometimes I forget. Have you ever forgotten? What happens to you when you do forget? Well lets keep in touch, there are only a handful of us who have had the transplant and it would be great to run things by one and other.
