Guest guest
Hi Everyone- I have posted about this before...but here goes again, problem is still happening and I have increased my daughters veggie intake. She poos maybe every other day and when she goes they are these little balls, like deer poo. She drinks a ton, all electrolyte drink so I don't think its dehydration. She only eats squash, lamb and about 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoons of scd goat yogurt. She seems to have a reaction with every new vegetable I add...I keep trying! Just wondered if I am to just wait this out, or if I should be doing something different. She seems to have such a limited diet, I can't imagine taking anything away! I have had to stop the green beans and the zucchini...she won't eat them pureed, but maybe I need to offer her the veggies pureed and if she doesn't choose to eat them..eventually she will change her mind?! I wonder if this might make things move through more readily. Thanks, susie hansen mother to 3 yo undiagnosed ella scd 8/2/
Guest guest
Have you tried the constipation protocol? http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/constipation ..htm http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/constipation _continued.htm Did you try the beets? There are lots of posts in the archives, especially from 2004, you can find by typing in beet + constipation. Beets have helped many people who were not helped by other methods. People have used beet juice (1 cup/day) mixed with pear, apple, or carrot to give it sweetness. [Do dilute juices 50% with water. Juices can be made with raw fruits and veggies even this early in the diet if you strain out the pulp, seeds and skins.} People have used cooked beet puree mixed with orange juice. They have used one fresh roasted beet daily. Here's a post that even includes a beet brownie that works. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/12559 Remember Sheila said this could also be due to yeast. You might want to try an anti-yeast enzyme like Candex, Candizyme, Candidase, etc. Also the probiotic S. Boulardi combats yeast. mom to =12 SCD 4/23/
