,

You wrote, " Sometimes I will just have my glucometer at my bedside and will

check it first thing when I open my eyes and it runs about 150ish. However,

if I leave my glucometer at my desk and get up, go to the BR, wash my face,

put on the coffee and so on then check my sugar, still fasting its in the

120's. "

The same thing can happen to me. I asked my endocrinologist about that and

she reminded me that activity increases insulin production, even the small

amount involved in doing brief AM care.
