Guest guest
I just read this so i am late in responding, Laurie. Iam living in the Uk, we have an 8 yr old child, who I think could probably compete, and win a medal in, an allergy olympic games. So yes, we have a daughter who is AS allergic as your child; to a lot of foodstuffs, also v sensitive to cut grass, animals esp horses, dogs, cats, chemically sensitive, has suffered anaphylactic attacks to nuts, fish and yellow split peas (no, I don't know why) She was blood tested at a lab in London (it is a military operation going there, as i am sure you will understand)by athan Rostoff among others for 40 items. She was allergic to 36 out of the 40, off the scale to about 15 of them. She can eat NO nuts, no fish, no pork or beef, no egg white, no dairy products except for butter (this is often an exception to the dairy product rule), no honey, no pulses and is allergic to some fruits (pineapple, strawberry, well most berries actually) and some vegetables (peas and the like). She has ben on SCD for 6 months and it has done her the power of good. What does she eat? Egg yolk, lamb, chicken, sausages made from lamb mint and parsley only, mince from venison and rabbit,a lot of butternut squash raosted, celeriac, swede, courgette, white cabbage, peppers, tomato and some of the less controversial fruit, deseeded, often boiled, then mashed and ice cubed. I think you might get the idea. We give her a lot of supplements transdermally, B6 orally cos she HAS to have it, and about 15 others orally every day. If I can be of any help viz a viz recipes let me know. My daughter was violently hyperactive and v ill and unhappy b4 SCD. We also have a 3yr old so its been tough. It is still tough to do the food regime but the improvement makes it worth it. I only wish I had found SCD earlier in her life. Best of luck to you. If I can help let me know.
