" It sounds like it is not necessary to treat low thyroid, but low thyroid can be dangerous as well. So, yes make sure that your thyroid is checked annually and treated if low and adjusted if high. But as far as adjusting my Levoxl medication, thats not something she feels comfortable doing. Thats why she sent me to a GI. And the only MD in the office I go to...well, I am not his patient so he won't see me unless it's an emergency. There goes that rock and a hard place thing again. But thanks so much for your info. " Maybe you can ask your FNP to send you to an endocrinologist instead of a GI?
