Pick a squash, any squash

Hi all,

I'm wondering....which squash is easiest to digest? I can already tell you

that I don't do well with zuchinni or yellow (summer) squash. Is there

another that is known for being easy to digest?

Also, I just wanted to share something. I'm on SCD for my second time, and

this time it's going better. I actually ate caulifower mock potatoes today

(only a tiny bit). It's the first vegetable I've been able to eat that

hasn't caused immediate distress in FOUR years. I've been totally off fruits

and veggies for that long. I'm also tolerating some cow milk yogurt.

Needless to say, I'm thrilled!!! I actually feel like there's some hope for

me. Who knows...maybe it's premature hope (I've only been on the diet for

four days), but it's hope nonetheless. Anyway, I just wanted to share my

small beginnings. :-)

By the way, I don't think that cauliflower is advised for the beginning of

the diet. But the stages suggested on pecanbread don't seem to apply to me,

for whatever reason. Just wanted to share, in case someone else is new out

there that wants to try the mock potatoes. If there's anything I'v learned

from this diet, it's that everyone is different and each of us tolerate

different things at different times. :-)

Have a good day, and I'll thank you in advance for any help you can give me

on the squashes.

Hi ,

I tolerated winter squash right away after the intro

diet: acorn, butternet, and spaghetti squash. Acorn

seems to " go down " the best.

I've been on SCD many years and still can't tolerate

summer squash: yellow and zucchini (seems to me there

was another one I tried too).

Congrats on the cauliflower mock potatoes!

Thank you, ! I'm going to stick with the cauliflower for a few days

longer to make SURE I'm okay with it, then I'll try some of the others you

suggested -- one at a time, of course! :-)
