well,i had my 1st g.i. visit yesterday and everything went fairly

well.he mentioned the term 'chronic relapsing pancreatitis'? but my

pcp dr. didn't send over my ct results so he couldn'nt tell me a

whole lot. iv'e already called the gi office this morning, and the dr.

is supposed to call me back once he veiws them.he did increase my

enzymes from 3 a meal to 6.and gave me more pain meds though i

have'nt been taking many because of the side effects, dizziness and

lightheaded,with 3 teenage boys here, all 3 have jobs,and 1 plays

football i do an awful lot of driving back and forth,so he told me to

break them in half, and take 1/2 every 2-3 hrs instead of a whole

every 4-6 hrs. has anyone ever heard of doing this? But the most

wonderful part was he wants me to have an ERCP done!(YIKES!!)never

had one before, makes me really nervous!he was real thorough

explaining every thing to me he even spent about 45 minutes in the

room talking to me about everything thats been going on and he wanted

to put me on anti-depressants but i said not right now ,i think he

could tell i've been having a pretty rough time (mentally) with all

this.he is very aware if my nervousness about having the ERCP,i asked

him to 'knock me out and he said he would...we'll see....he also

said,in his experience, people who have calcification of the pancreas

have LESS complications with the ERCP.has anyone ever heard of that

or was he just trying to make me feel better?sorry this is so

long.hope everyone is having a good day!!!!!Cindy
