Guest guest
I have never thought of commiting suicide for any reason, especially not an illness. It isn't a religious matter to me, no matter how bad my life may be, I don't want it to end. Why would I want to take my own life for an illness that one day might be cured? Why would I want to inflict further hurt, anger and sorrow on my family and friends who love me..I have a husband and daughter who need me, and want me no matter what condition I am in. I have become a very strong person because of all I have been through, taking on tasks that have amazed people...all for nothing? I don't think so....I know it is only my opinion, and some people are not as strong in mind as I have become, but I am a coward when it comes to thinking about ending my life...it is not an option and never will be...I don't think I could even do it if I was terminally ill and only had days or weeks to live.... What if something was discovered in those last days/moments that could suddenly save my life? I have never condoned suicide, always thought it was the cowards way out...But that is just my thought on the matter. Anyse, I do know the reason why posted what she did, but it was not up to me to write it to the board. Therefore, everyone who posted what they did, did so out of concern and worry about how they took her words to mean. In their own ways they were trying to discern why she suddenly felt the way she did...each worried that something they had said had put her in that state, and apologising for it. I believe everyone was responding TO her, not about their own selves. Putting words on a message board don't give the same feel as expressing them out loud to the person which has been proven over and over again, and can at times be taken out of context..still I didn't find that with everyone's concerns for Chrissy. Just as what you have written, perhaps it wasn't supposed to, but I took offense at how it sounded to me... Ward PAI Administration Support Staff dceward@...
