Hi guys,

Have any of you ever heard of Xango or Mangosteen? I noticed that it is not SCD

legal because it has Xanthan gum in it. But wondered if this was " snack oil " ,

or if the antioxidants are truly beneficial in it? The stuff it truly

interesting but so expensive.

The benefits may be questionable. Some postulate that the antioxidant

effect may be coming from other fruits that are paired with the

mangosteen. The commercial preparations aren't SCD legal.

Sheila why do you say that the benifits are questionable? I was not

happy with them when I saw their booth at the autism conference.

Like I already said...I fear that this might be another

expensive " snake oil " supplement. Not snack oil....LOL. I didn't

realize that I wrote this wrong in my original post.

I have been looking into this more. Blue Berries and Pomegranates are

very high in anti-oxidants too. Especialy when paired. I wish that

people would stop preying on us people with autism and autistic kids!

Makes me mad!. This stuff is not only not SCD legal....it is VERY

EXPENSIVE. One can make their own juice that is high in

antioxidants....with blue berries and pomegranates, and likely get the

same benefits! Plus it would be SCD legal.

What I meant by saying the benefits are questionable is that if they

are claiming they are high in antioxidants but the antioxidants come

from the other fruits that they are paired with then they are

scamming you - and quite expensively from the costs I've have seen.

Looking at this site which claims they are high in nutrients but it

is paired with blueberries, apples, raspberries etc and full of SCD

illegals

http://www.freshmangosteen.com/xango-ingredients2.aspx it is wildly

expensive.

While people continue to look for a magic cure-all there will

continue to be people who are ready to charge the " moon " for that

cure.

As for the 'snack oil' typo don't worry about it - my two finger

typing constantly leaves typos - for which I humbly apologize ; )
