Guest guest
A bit off-subject, but a week or so ago they had a little show on PBS about folks around a small farming town somewhere in New York state who grew BIG pumpkins ... we're talking 1,200 pounds here!! It was mainly men, but one woman grower was in the group. It was heartwarming! As men will do (sorry any men reading this), they were totally into it - for years have been studying various strains, seeds, etc. Build little shade thingys for their pumpkins - become about as obbsessed with the pumpkins as Texas men do about their football. Any way, if you happen to see it advertised on your local PBS channel, it's a sweet little story. Dede > > ...Now what do I do with it. Its that time of year again for fresh > pumpkin. Guest guest
At the Topsfield fair here in massachusetts they have a pumpkin contest. The biggest pumpkin wins! They're well over a thousand pounds and have to be brought in by special trucks. Its really neat to see though! Card
Guest guest
Hi Dede, My husband and I saw the program!! It was amazing how big those pumpkins were and how the people that were growing them were so into it! I hope others can see it too! Beth OT: Re: I bought a pumpkin...
