Pancreatitis caused by GERD

Before my BIG attack in 1995, I was being treated for all kinds of

stomach stuff: GERD, H-Pylori, possible ulceration and on and on. I

had so much trouble with my stomach and that is all that they

concentrated on. Nothing fixed it! I took everything that they told

me to and got no relief. I had chest pain and stomach pain in the

upper left quadrant. I would sit up in a fetal position as it was the

only way I could get any relief. I would throw up and I would not eat

for a few days and all sorts of things on my own. Finally, I had

severe pancreatitis and wound up in the hospital for 8 months which

ended in a radical pancreaticoduodenectomy (Whipple).
