Guest guest
Are there any legal deli meats? Obviously ham wouldn't be legal, but does anyone get roast beef or turkey from the deli? Sorrento has come out with cheddar cheese sticks (individually wrapped like the mozzarella sticks that are so popular with the kids). Ingredients: Pasteurized Milk, Cheese Cultures, Salt, Enzymes and colored with tto. Would these be legal? Actually, if you can find real Italian prosciutto (ingredients, pork and salt), you can purchase it. For roast beef or turkey, better to buy am eye of round or a turkey breast (check for injected gunk!) and cook it yourself, then slice very thin with a meat slicer or mandolin. >> Sorrento has come out with cheddar cheese sticks (individually wrapped like the mozzarella sticks that are so popular with the kids). I don't see anything there which sets off alarm bells, but I'm suspicious of pre-packaged ANYTHING. All you could do is try a couple (if cow milk products aren't an issue for you) and see what happens. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
Thanks Marilyn. Hmm, another kitchen gadget to dream about. Cow's milk isn't a problem for us. My youngest has been eating (and loving) the cheese sticks. I doubt my son (actual target) will touch them anyway. Of course now I'm staring at them and thinking - they're so very orange, surely I can make them into something for the class party at Halloween ) Joan Mom to 4 SCD since 2/
