Guest guest
Just wondering how all of you with children who are sensitive to the addition of new foods deal with introducing new foods and an increase in the scd goat yogurt I have decided to stick with the diet my daughter is on, lamb, squash and pureed green beens and squash, along with an increasing amount of the yogurt. I am nervous about adding new foods, since she is doing so well and have decided to stick with increasing the goat yogurt...to about an extra teaspoon every other day. I am thinking if I add another food I won't know if its the food or the extra yogurt and I feel the yogurt is so beneficial. At what point do I stop the yogurt increase and begin adding foods. Also, I looked at the constipation protocol and have followed it, adding the prune mixture and haviing her sit after eating and all. She seems to be getting this wierd rash under her buttocks and behind her knees-so I am going to try no prune juice for the next few days. Adding the prune mixture and pureeing her veggies came at the same time, so I am going to see if simply pureeing helps with the constipation and hope that the lack of prune helps things in the poo department. WOW, this is complicated. I just started a new job working at a preschool and I bring ella with me-full time. I am amazed at how well she deals with being on such a special diet around kids eating burgers, crackers and cheese! And I am also amazed that I can keep up with this 4 hour boiling, pureeing, 24 hr yogurt making routine! Thanks to you all for your help and support! Guest guest
Yes, if you really want to know what does what, you have to do only one thing at a time. We sometimes get impatient and do more than one, and sometimes it works and sometimes we have to backtrack. The upper limit of yogurt is 2 cups per day, but I wouldn't just do yogurt for that long. Since her diet is balanced, even though limited, I think I would decide on a number of weeks where I increased only yogurt, like 2 weeks or 4 (depending on how slow you are going). Then I'd try to expand her diet with some new foods. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
