Guest guest
Mark and Theresa: Can you enlighten me a bit more here? My PCP insists that the only time high cholesterol plays a part in cp is when the triglycerides are extremely high. He says that the HDL and LDL have no part to play in causing CP and/or exacerbating panc attacks. I'm very interested in this because at one time my cholesterol was 800!! Yikes...the most recent test it was something like 300 and that's because I can't tolerate the drugs....they caused exteme joint pain, etc., and PCP said to wait until we get this edema thing straightened out (which if you read my posts on - you'll see that that is going to be a battle as well) and then he wants to start me on Crestor. My father died from heart failure at the age of 38 and it was due to hardening of the arteries..now thought to be because of high cholesterol. Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated!!
