Guest guest
: I know you're not around to see this just yet but hopefully you will when you get back home. I'm wishing you all the luck in the world for today's procedure (it's 7:43 EST now) and please post how things went when you get back ok? I'm reading your post with great interest as it seems we have quite similar things going on with respect to where we are in this " journey. " I had a dual sphincterotomy performed by Dr. Lehman in August of 2004 and it's been a steady decline in my health ever since (thru no fault of Dr. Lehman...in fact, he's the only doctor that I've seen that seems to know anything regarding this illness.) I'm scared to death of having another ERCP and my husband doesn't even want to hear it (!!) but I may have to call Dr. Lehman and see what he thinks I should do at this point. I haven't yet gotten a good GI doc....and like you, the only thing I have is the pain management doctor that can only " offer me " another celiac block. That is scheduled for Sept. 24th. Please let me know if this second ERCP helps you at all ok? I'm very curious as maybe it's just a fluke that the first one didn't help me but maybe a second one would....I'd be very scared now to do one though but if that is what it takes so be it I guess. Also, I'm curious about these wedge pillows?? Do they help? My sleep is awful lately as well. I take something called Remeron and yes it knocks me out but leaves me so groggy the next day and with the other meds I'm just a walking zombie basically..and I'm not liking it!! Thanks and I hope you did well today and that this procedure will leave you totally pain free!! (in RI)
