pain scale chart

Evening all,

I can't remember who, but someone on the board had an actual chart with graphics

numbered 0-10 of a pain scale. I have switched computers and lost that scale.

Does anyone know who this was that had it, and can I get another copy of it?

My husband had a tooth pulled last Thursday and came home tonight with all the

symptoms of dry socket. Yes, he was drinking soda from a straw, smoking and

drinking alcohol that same night after the extraction. Shame on him.....but not

too much scolding. We all know tooth aches are HORRIBLE.

Anyway, he said the pain earlier was a 9! I said WOW!!! You wanna go to the ER

still?! He said No, why? And I explained that a 9 was extreme misery and 10 was

unbearable, like when I have a pancreatic attack and he takes me to the ER. I

also explained that even my SOD attacks I would only rate a 6-7 at their worst

on the pain scale.....knowing what a full blown pancreatic attack feels like.

After hearing this, he changed his pain scale score accordingly and understands

more of assessing the pain correctly, but I would still like to have that chart.

Soooooo.....long story LONG...Tee Hee Hee....I am looking to get another copy of

that pain scale chart to keep around the house. I can find one of a 0-5 with

graphics on the internet, but thats not as comprehensive as the 0-10.

I am suprised that other than the wong faces scale, there are not that

many good ones out there!
