Salicylates/amines

Hi all,

I've been following SCD since 11/06, and as some of you know, it's

been a very difficult road for me. My diet is still very limited and

very close to the intro diet after almost a year. I was finally able

to add dripped goat yogurt to my diet a month ago. In any event, what

I'm realizing is that I have problems with salicylates and amines, and

that is what is making it virtually impossible to expand my diet. I'm

considering enzymes like No-Fenol or the Kirkman line. I understand

that these enzymes work on phenols/salicylates, but don't know if they

address amine intolerance - it's not clear in my research. I'm

hopeful that there is someone knowledgeable about this stuff, or that

someone can at least offer me some direction on how I can find

answers. As composed as I appear to everyone, I'm a mess over this.

Thanks,

Tara

This link may provide some info for you " Histamine and Amine

intolerance "

Info on salicylates and amines:

http://www.enzymestuff.com/conditionsensitivities.htm

You could try contacting the companies that make them and ask to

speak to someone who can answer your questions. (don't just talk to a

secretary) For No-fenol try talking to Dr. Houston.
