Guest guest
Hi everyone. Hope its been a comfortable day. I'd like to ask how many of you, in addition to chronic pancreatitis, have non-related diseases? How much do these other problems have an influence on the pancreatitis? For myself, I'm counting my blessings that I'm not diabetic. I know that seems to be a very common duo, probably because both diseases involve the pancreas. I was a childhood asthmatic, with occasional (3-4 x year) flare-ups as an adult. I've had MS (multiple sclerosis) since about 1986; with that disease you usually don't get a definitive point in time when you know there is a problem. I don't know if I had pancreatitis then. I had been having intermittent abdominal pain & nausea since about 1968, chalked up to be " gall bladder " problems. Anyway, at this point, I seem to have increased problems almost 100% of the time, either with the MS symptoms (debilitating fatigue, one leg won't pick up- like to step up a curb-, fatigue & weakness after very limited activity, fuzzy thinking, hard to concentrate, etc.) or the pancreatitis pain & nausea. I can't tell how much one condition influences the other. Then again, I guess it doesn't matter anyway. Do you folks have more than one illness to deal with also? The heat makes everything so much worse, especially the MS. Anyone else bothered by heat? Sorry about ramblin' & rantin'. Just one of the " poor me " days. UGH!! Guest guest
Thanks Jim, it can get depressing and I can be hard on myself for not getting out there and living a full life. I had so many dreams and still do, but this recent pancreatitis thing has really scared me like none of the other stuff has. Eileen > Eileen, You are a strong woman to deal with that handful. Guest guest
Hi Jan G, While having CP (chronic pancreatitis) and being very affected by " heat " . I find that I must be constantly aware of getting hot and to immediately take steps to avoid the problem. It's a lifestyle decision most of the time and it can be a problem until one learns that discreation is the better part of health. After all, who is it that pays the " bill " of a bad decision. I also have: AB (ageing body) CS (chronic stupidity) and IAMBICHIIHTIG (I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess) Best wishes, Poncho - GA
Guest guest
Jan, I have SOD in addition to CP and a low thyroid that makes me tired, fatigued, achey, etc. It is also suspected I have chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromilagia. But I can tell you that I didn't have any of the problems, other than a small asthma attack while in labor with my son, before my gall bladder went bad.
