mistake making yogurt

I just realized that I accidentally made the last batch and the

current batch of SCD goat yogurt with double the GIProhealth starter.

What kind of problems does that cause? Is it okay to give to my

SCDer. I assume it would be okay for my non-SCDer regardless? Does

it mess it up or does it have double the amount of bacteria?

I know some people have done this on purpose, but I read somewhere on

the internet that the bacteria " needs its space " , so using extra

starter is not recommended. However, I think if it looks and smells

like it usually does, it's probably fine.

Hi Bonita,

Elaine said it was okay. There is a recipe in BTVC that uses double

the amount of needed starter. It is probably better to use the

correct amount but it is still legal.

<<Is it okay to give to my > SCDer.>>

If tart, it should be fine.

Yes.

<<Does it mess it up or does it have double the amount of bacteria?>>

No, it doesn't have double the bacteria.
