Guest guest
Thelady who said that ObesityLaw.com was just 1 lawyer is right. So what... I won my case against the insurance company without a lawyer. Trust me on this... no lawyer cares more about getting you approved than you do. All they will do is take your money and send a letter, get a response, if you are denied, they'll ask you for another check to write another letter, to wait for a response... and so on... each insurance company has their own grievance and appeals process that was agreed upon at the time of your policy and even if you don't like it, it must fall within your state's Department of Insurance guidelines. The insurance companies are not intimidated by lawyers (at this point in your appeal). I hope that you are in a state that allows for HMO appeals and disputes through the state legislature. You can find out by calling your state's Department of Insurance. If that's baffling to you, call your local library, they will give you the number. Of course these are all government workers, so you'll probably be bounced around a bit before you get your answer. Just be patient. It's more than your attorney would EVER do. Ohio passed House Bill 4 last year and because of it, my HORRIBLE insurance carrier (SummaCare... now known as SummaSucks) had to reimburse me 100%!!! They claimed that at 362.3 pounds I could just go to Weight Watchers... I told them that when I go there I just watch my weight go up! Needless to say, they hate me now since I won! But who cares. I wasn't put on this earth to be liked by an HMO. www.myminigastricbypass.com __________________________________________________
