Guest guest
Does any one know if it is ok to take an enzyme pill along with the yogurt. I made nut yogurt using the recipe on this website with two minor changes. I had to use fruit conc. that has no added anything in it because I'm allergic to honey and I also soaked my nuts. Well I am having a hard time with it. It causes me alot of rumpling in my gut and some gas but when I mixed some of Hustons Prime-Zyme into the spoonful of yogurt I was able to tolerate it. I was just wondering if this might affect the culture in anyway and making it less effective?

" My Dr., who adivises SCD, also, at times, advises the use of digestive enzymes. My understanding is that the protease enzymes do increase the digestion of the bacteria, but enough survive to colonized the gut. There is an probiotic supplement in spore form, which is supposed to escape digestion by the stomach acid ( I don't know if it escapes the protein enzymes. It is called lactobacilus sporagenes.
