Guest guest
Hi. Can anybody advise me as to why Pomegranate concentrate is listed as illegal on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, as this is a very good anti oxidant that I would like to use for my son, but it goes against the dietary requirements. Hemp protein powder is also considered illegal and again can anyone explain why. Are all of the nut flowers OK to use for the diet or are there any exclusions ? I'm also having difficulty finding an egg replacement, as I am unable to use any soya products due to his intolerance, any suggestions other than the flax seeds that I am using at present ? Thanks
Guest guest
Hi. I asked the same question recently about the Pomegranate concentrate, specifically about the brand Just Pomegranate juice that contains pomegranate concentrate. You can read the thread here: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/67126 Hope that answers some of your questions. :-) K in Dayton, Ohio Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Fibro, CFS, yeast/candida, copper overload, adrenal fatigue (mostly healed!!!) Guest guest
As indicated, pomegranate concentrate is too fibrous, but you can use the Just Pomegranate juice. Hemp protein powder is discussed here: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/31883 Flax seeds are SCD illegal. See http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/flax_seed_and _flax_seed_oil.htm There are some SCD legal egg replacement ideas at http://pecanbread.com/recipes.html mom to -12 SCD 4/23/04 > > Hi.
