Guest guest
As I prepare to start SCD, I'm replacing my supplements with SCD legal ones. Currently, I take Nordic Natural for omega-3. In previous posts, it seemed that it was illegal because of rosemary extract. Is that because extract means that it contains alcohol? The rosemary part is legal. Also, the vitamin E portion comes from soybean oil. Does that make it illegal? I'm a nursing mom and need all the omega-3 I can get as pure as I can get it. My local health food store assures me that Nordic Naturals is the best. Are there any legal Nordic Naturals or something real close to purity and quantity of omega-3? Why must the honey be clear? Contamination with pollen, propolis (bee collected sap from pine trees), bee parts? Do the sugars change when it crystallizes? Finally, I'm nursing our baby, need to eat a lot of food, and am often hungry 15 minutes after I finish eating. Is it possible to be on the SCD and nurse a very hungry baby? Thanks, Beth F preparing myself and son for SCD
Guest guest
Beth, the rosemary extract does not make your NN product illegal. Lots of NN products are legal. Is it the Ultimate Omega? I know that one is legal. Vitamin E from soy oil is legal. Honey must be free of pollen, etc. so that is why it must be clear. This does not mean that honey that starts to crystalize is illegal. You can just warm it up and it will be clear again. I hope some people who have nursed will respond. I know it is possible, though I haven't myself. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
