Guest guest
, this is what my son was eating before the diet. Salmon, turkey, olive oil, green beans, cauliflower. I had recently removed avocado. 4 days ago I added banana. Today I added cooked apple. He has seizures. Today I'm seeing extra " bobbers " as we call them. Should I discontinue the apple? Or should I wait til tomorrow to give it to him again. I chose the apple because he is constipated. jo
Guest guest
Oh, I'm sorry I didn't remember that you had already told us what he is eating. There are a lot of posts so it's good to repeat for us when you ask this type of question. So " bobbers " are a type of seizure? If so, then I would stop the apple. Since apple is part of the typical BRAT diet to firm up stools after a bout of diahrrea, it may not be the best for constipation. How about trying pears? For constipation, increase liquids, try some Epsom salt baths, and the electrolyte drink. http://www.scdrecipe.com/recipes/r_019_00452.php There is also Elaine's constipation protocol. http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/constipation.h tm mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
